To  test the depth of the scratch run your finger nail across the scratch If your finger nail does not catch you will need the Light Scratches Kits, If your finger nail catches on the scratch but runs over the top of the scratch you will need the Medium Scratches Kits, and If your finger nail catches and drops into the scratch then you will need a Deep Scratches kit.
