FAQs

What surfaces can this kit be used on?

This kit is suitable for most plastic and acrylic surfaces, including plexiglass, fibreglass, polycarbonate, and similar materials. It’s ideal for visors, helmets, boat windows, furniture, caravans, display panels, and more.

What tools do I need to use this kit?

The kit works with any standard electric drill or rotary polisher. It includes an M14 or 5/8-11 threaded backing pad with a universal drill adaptor. For best results, we recommend using a drill or polisher with adjustable speed control.

Will it remove deep scratches?

Yes, this kit includes a two-stage abrasive process specifically designed to remove deep scratches, scuffs, and other heavy surface damage. It restores smoothness and clarity even on worn or heavily scratched plastic.

Is it easy to use for beginners?

Yes, the kit is designed for DIY users and comes with simple step-by-step instructions and video tutorials—no experience required.

How long does the restoration process take?

The time varies depending on the size and severity of the damage, but most restorations can be completed within 20–40 minutes.

Does it work on headlights?

Yes, this kit can be used on plastic headlights and tail-lights, though for best results on vehicle lighting we recommend our dedicated Headlight Restoration Kit, which includes a UV blocker sealant.

How large of an area can I restore with one kit?

Each kit provides enough compound and abrasives to restore multiple items or areas—typically 4 to 6 square meters depending on the severity of the damage and surface type.

Will it remove yellowing from plastic?

This kit removes surface oxidation and haze, which often causes yellowing. However, if yellowing is due to UV damage that has penetrated deeper into the material, results may vary.

Can I use this on curved or irregular surfaces?

Yes, the flexible pads and abrasives in the kit conform well to most curved and contoured surfaces, making it suitable for motorcycle visors, boat windows, and similar shapes.

Do you provide instructions or tutorials?

Yes, each kit includes step-by-step instructions, and you can scan the QR code inside the box for access to our detailed video tutorials and expert tips.
